For those of you relocating to another part of the country, you should consider buying a home in Arizona. This article will provide you with the basics of Arizona and the FSBO real estate market.

The biggest metropolis in Arizona is Phoenix, and it is getting bigger all the time. Phoenix is already the 6th biggest metropolis in the country and it is Arizona’s state capital. Phoenix is getting so big that it has actually merged with the adjacent cities of Tempe and Scottsdale, Arizona. Phoenix always seems to feel as though it is a brand new city, which means a lot of people believe that it has no authentic past.

If you are a sports lover then Phoenix is a great place for you. Within Phoenix, you will find many sports teams, including football, baseball and basketball. There is even the Phoenix Coyotes, a professional ice hockey team. It may seem odd that a city in the desert has an NHL team, but that is something to expect in America.

Phoenix has amazing weather that gives you warm temperatures to enjoy year round. The summer average temperatures can soar above 100 degrees, but don’t worry because there is practically no humidity. The evening temperatures in the winter are the coolest, but even then the temperature remains in the 70s.

Flagstaff and Phoenix do not share many similarities, as the city of Flagstaff has an overall feeling of the Wild West era of old. Flagstaff, located on the world renown Route 66, is home to Arizona State University, and is thus known as a college town. With 30,000 current students, “ASU”, as the University is known, commands the city of Flagstaff.

The real estate in Arizona, compared with other states, is priced to be affordable. Phoenix average home prices usually fall around $300,000. Arizona has seem home values appreciating over 25% over the past year, which has made it a top real estate market.

People either really like Arizona or hate it based on how they view the heat. If you are interested in staying warm all year round, you would be wise to purchase a house in Arizona.
